Who is responsible for your data
Nollaknit, based in Helsinki, Finland, is the controller for personal data used to operate this store and fulfil orders. Privacy enquiries may be sent to hello@nollaknit.com.
Information we process
- Contact and delivery information, including name, email, telephone number, and address.
- Order information, including products, quantities, prices, payment status, and correspondence.
- Technical information needed for site delivery and security, such as IP address, browser details, and request logs.
- A cart record stored locally in your browser so that your selections are not lost before checkout.
Stripe processes your payment details. Nollaknit does not receive or store your full card number.
Why we use it
We use personal data to form and perform the sales contract, take payment, deliver orders, handle returns and customer service, prevent misuse, maintain the security of the store, and comply with accounting, tax, and consumer-protection obligations. Where processing is optional, such as direct marketing, it is based on consent.
Service providers
Data may be shared only as needed with service providers supporting the store, including Stripe for checkout and payments, Cloudflare for site hosting and security, delivery providers for fulfilment, and email or professional advisers where necessary. These providers process data under their own terms and applicable data-protection safeguards.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside Finland or the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards, or another lawful transfer mechanism as required by the GDPR.
How long information is kept
Order and accounting records are retained for the periods required by Finnish law. Customer-service and return correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter and establish or defend legal claims. Technical logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s security and operational settings.
Cookies and browser storage
This store does not currently use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies. It uses browser storage for your shopping cart, and providers may use strictly necessary technologies for checkout, fraud prevention, security, and site delivery.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis. Contact us to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman of Finland.
